ENG: Recently i had a Cinderella moment. Sometimes life just feels like a fairy tale - only trouble is that it is raining in real life.
A few seasons ago Dior designed sandals with decorative anchors. Since than i tried to find an affordable look-alike online. I found a few suspiscous shops, but didn't dare to order for a long time. This year I risked and ordered. The shipping took ages, but the shoes were very pretty and people constantly stopped to ask me where to get them. The climax happend two days ago, when I tried to get from train to work, without stepping into puddles: the anchor broke and left me quite perplexed.Of course it was exact the moment, when the weather decided to switch from soft rain to downpour. Fast solution: I tied the sole with a hair tie to my foot. I felt a little McGyver-like, but the thing ripped after a few steps. I tried it a second time with an invisibobble. Since they are better for the hair than standard hair ties, I hoped they would be also better for this situation. They proved to be good and I continued my steeplechase, a little slower than before... but apparently not careful enough, so the second anchor broke too! I was just a few steps away from my goal anI stood there in the pouring rain without an umbrella, with broken shoes and also this time people stopped to ask me about my shoes, only this time they stopped to pity me.
The lesson is clear: There are some shops you should really avoid and a second pair of shoes in your handbag is always a great idea!

Also ein zweiter Versuch: Invisibobble statt Haargummi.

ENG: The motto of the Bijou Brigitte autumn/winter2014 collection was "Spirit of Glam". When I visited the showroom the previous seasons, it was hard to decide which piece I liked the most. This time it was different, because not everything was my taste. The big, glamorous necklaces and chandelier earrings were really pretty, but i prefer gold accessories and bold colors. At a second glance I found a few highlights. My personal mus-haves: colorful necklace and bodychains! Those look so good on a simple top or dress. I've already spotted them at the Berlin Fashion Week and can't wait to wear them myself.

Birkenstocks, Sandals and Adilettes

ENG: Until recently, Birkenstocks were right behind Crocs on the list of the most unattractive shoes on this earth. This season it is different: Birkenstocks are the must-haves of the summer!
Prejudices that the heatly shoes are only for tree huggers and the elder generation, can be forgotten. If you look at streetstyle pictures from the biggest fashion capitals such as Paris, New York or Milan, you can see more and more flat sandals on the feet of fashionistas and even when I was in Berlin, I spotted a lot of flat shoes among the Fashion Week visitors. Though I never thought that I would go to a fashion event or a Fashion Week in flats, I decided against high heels this year.
Only last year Birkenstocks still would have ended up on my no-go list and I'm still not entirely convinced of them. So I started looking for an alternative, that reflects my style 100 percent. The white sandals with golden chain, i found at River Island, are ideal fit for me and emphasize my preference for a lot of gold jewelry.
Perhaps this is only a step towards an endless Birkenstock-love, because the hype to the orthopedic sandals will certainly not disappear next summer. The company has planed some interesting styles. On the Bread & Butter in Berlin you could already admire some of the upcoming models. Shiny leather, rivets, neon colors, snake leather pattern are coming in new forms. At least when the metallic Birkenstocks will be available with stylish, thin straps, they will end up in my shopping cart for sure. There is only one sandal trend I will certainly not fall for: Adilette - this is a little bit too much for me.

ENG: Recently I spotted a poster with german actress Sophia Thomalla, which immediately woke my interest. I wanted to read more about the cooperation between her and the discounter Lidl later in the internet, but Lidl was faster. I received an invitation for the #ciensationell blogger event in the Hamburg the same day.
At the event I finally met the lovely blogger-girls Laura, Theresa, Joleena and Lynn again and after a welcome from Sophia and the team from Lidl, we were allowed to get little beauty treatments at several stations and at the same time test the Cien products: getting hand massages,  hair styling or fresh make-up. We tried to produce our own bath bombs. The end result didn't look very promising, so I'm quite curious to see how the bath bomb will look, when they are dried and they will send us them.
It was a really well organized evening. The lovely Lidl ladies have spoiled us rotten: from free taxi service, the awesome location, all the pampering, the delicious appetizers, nail polish cakepops (!!!) to the Cien product goodies, we could choose ourselves, everything was just perfect. A highlight was, of course, that the beautiful Sophia was there to greet and talk to us.
I already had time to test some of the products and I'm a fan of the heat protection hair care products.

Blackout

ENG: Today I look at the black side. Maybe I even had a blackout, while I picked the items for today's outfit post and forgot that I NEVER wear total black outfits. Wild prints and bold colors are my specialty. That's why I needed other eye-catchers to catch up - with a fringebag, cut-out heels and transparent lace top that outfit becomes OVERDIVITY-suitable again.
How do you like this total black look for a change?

Summer Kimono

lace, h&M; Spitze, schwarz, trend, how to wear a kimono, & other stories, floral, radiant orchid, heels, streetstyle, festival, modeblogger, hamburg, hafen, gina tricot, trägerkleid, lila, german fashionblogger

ENG: My discovery of this summer are kimonos! They are not only the perfect bikini cover-up on the beach, but do look particularly well on dress or crop top and shorts. With them the outfit will immediately get a casual touch - especially kimonos with fringes and floral prints are an integral part of festivals. On many blogs and Pinterest you can find a lot of inspiring kimono outfits. In the shops kimonos are currently offered in all kinds of lengths, colors and patterns, which makes it quite difficult to choose between all the beautiful pieces in bohemain, rock chic or grungy look.
As I unabe to take such a decision, I have bought 3 of those trend pieces, including this black lace one. Thrown over a dress, this is a elegant upgrade and is even suitable for a date with my boyfriend.
